History:
In 1995,
George Loucas started the practice after working as a defense attorney
for Hartford Insurance Company, and then as a plaintiff’s
attorney working with a well known Cleveland Ohio firm. George opened
his office in downtown Cleveland’s Standard Building which
is traditionally known as the “lawyers’ building”
since it is located right across the street from the Justice Center.
He was immediately successful with several well-publicized and successful
jury verdicts in the area of medical practice. George rapidly developed
a keen understanding of the medical issues involved in medical malpractice,
wrongful death and serious personal injury litigation. The experience
he received as a registered pharmacist, and working in Northeast
Ohio for several years as a pharmacist before becoming an attorney,
helped George become familiar with the medical issues that affect
families.
In 1995, Penny
became “of Counsel” with George, and worked with him
on many cases while still maintaining her office (started it in
1989) in Weirton West Virginia. In 1999, a decision to close the
West Virginia office was made because the Cleveland firm had grown
significantly in case load. On staff were the two attorneys, a legal
assistant and a nurse/attorney. In 2000, Cathryn joined the practice.
She had been practicing as an attorney handling “mass tort”
litigation, such as asbestos, brake lining, and explosive cases.
She also had represented hundreds of individuals in social security
disability and workers compensation claims.
In 2004, the
practice moved to Independence, Ohio because of the major growth
of the firm, and to be more easily accessible to their clients. |
